Al Jubeir meets Jersey Minister

RIYADH, 7th November, 2017 (WAM) -- Adel Al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, received yesterday the Chief Minister of Jersey, Senator Ian Gorst, the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, has reported.

According to SPA, they discussed issues of common interest during the meeting.

The Saudi Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, also met Senator Gorst and discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of media and culture, to best serve the realisation of the Kingdom Vision 2030, SPA said.

The meetings were attended by a number of officials and the delegation accompanying Gorst.

In a statement issued later, Senator Gorst said that, "The Government of Jersey welcomes the strengthening commercial and cultural relationship between the Kingdom and our island and we are keen to develop a closer partnership."
