(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, Nov 6 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ALESCO), Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, called on Monday for confronting the Israeli occupation forces' violations committed against the Palestinian people.
Al-Harbi was speaking before UNESCO's general conference, saying ALESCO was keen on promoting cooperation and partnership with the UN cultural agency with the objective of supporting educational, cultural and scientific sectors in Arab countries.
ALESCO, he said, sought to help the Arab countries achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Al-Harbi urged UNESCO to pay more attention to the Arab language, particularly in translation of reports, studies and documents of meetings. (end) mjz.bs
