Multiple fatalities in Texas church shooting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Nov 5 (KUNA) -- A gunman opened fire at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, during service on Sunday killing scores of people, local officials said. A chase ensued and the man was killed by police.

At least 27 are dead including children and many are injured, according to US media citing the local officials.

The San Antonio FBI branch have been sent to the scene and no indication of the gunman's motive have been found.

President Donald Trump tweeted, "May God be with the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI and law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan." (end) ak.bs
