Kuwaiti wins Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation's scientific research award


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Nov 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Institute for Scientific Research researcher Dr. Ali Al-Dosari on Sunday won the Amman-based Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation's scientific research award in its 35th edition.

Al-Dosari won the award for his research on climate change and its impact on ecological diversity and desertification.

Following the award-giving ceremony, Al-Dosari expressed pleasure of the honoring.

He told KUNA that the foundation has given him the award in recognition of his researches on climate change.

Established by the Arab Bank in 1978, the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) is non-profit institution dedicated to nurturing creativity, promoting knowledge and achieving economic and social sustainable development in the Arab World.

AHSF plays a vital role in enriching the Jordanian and Arab cultural and scientific scene through its various entities, programs and activities It has been encouraging the emergence of new generations of scientists and scholars in Jordan and Arab countries, by giving out annual awards as incentives.
