Turkmenistan approves draft laws to protect inventions, industrial designs

Draft laws on legal protection of inventions and on legal protection of industrial designs were approved and adopted at the 24th session of the Turkmen parliament, said the Turkmen government in a message.

A set of measures are planned for the formation of national intellectual property system and bringing it to the international level, providing legal protection for advanced engineering and technological developments, scientific discoveries and innovations, and their wide implementation in various sectors of the economy.

All this determined the relevance of the abovementioned laws, regulating relations emerging in connection with the legal protection and use of inventions, as well as industrial designs – in other words, design and design solutions that determine the appearance of an industrial product.
