UAE- Drowned Emirati boy's body recovered after 14 hours


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) After 14 hours of search, Sharjah Police and coastal guards recovered the body of a 14-year-old Emirati boy who drowned off Kalba beach on Saturday.

The police said that two other boys - who accompanied the deceased - had also almost drowned but were rescued by coastal guards deployed at the site.

Lt Col Rashid Saif Al Zaabi, head of Kalba police station, said that it took 14 hours to recover the body since the operation room received a call at 6:40pm on Saturday.

The body of the deceased has been shifted by the national ambulance to the morgue in Kalba Hospital.
