The General Assembly of the Association of the National Olympic Committees (ANOC), hosted by the Czech Republic, Prague, concluded on Friday with the participation of Qatar's delegation headed by President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, and officials from 206 countries.
In the closing statement, the Congress praised the efforts of the International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach to arrange the agenda for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, saying he supports Pyongyang's efforts to host the Winter Games next year.
The General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees criticised the call for a complete ban on Russian athletes from participating in the Winter Olympics in 2018, at the backdrop of doping issues.
