(MENAFN) East London, Walthamstow, on Thursday evening an acid attack occurred by a teenager which caused a critical injury for a 32yo delivery driver who might go blind due to the assault. This has been the second arrest of a teenager involved in an acid assault.
Further assault on Thursday in Tottenham took place where an acidic substance has been thrown at another delivery driver. According to Danny Shaw, BBC reporter, police "strongly suspect" the assaults are connected.
The reporter further explained that during the first attack when a couple of males attempted to rob the victim, he had injured his eyes, face, esophagus and throat, and then entered into a coma since then. According to the police, the suspects ordered the victim to give up his keys but he resisted their demands before the assault occurred.
