Kuwait wins bronze in Arab long jump event in Tunisia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Mohammad Essam, of Kuwait, won the bronze in the Long Jump competition of the Arab Junior Athletics Championship, increasing Kuwait's medals to four including one gold.

Saleh Al-Marri, Kuwait team manager, commended the athletes for their dedication and commitment which resulted in them winning the four medals.

He noted that Mohammad Al-Enezi won the 110m hurdles race, Abdulaziz Belal won the silver in the Javelin throw and Abdulrahman Al-Jazzaf came second in the hammer throw.

Al-Marri said the junior Kuwaiti athletes would have a promising future providing they continued their hard work.

Team trainer Mohammad Shaker said Kuwait amateur athletics association was doing all it could to maintain high-quality performance of athletes. (end) ksj.bs
