Jordan- Cold weather, drizzles forecast for weekend


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 3 (Petra) -- Cloudy skies and light showers accompanied by thunder are expected over the southern and eastern regions on Friday, with northwesterly moderate winds picking up during the afternoon hours in the Badia region, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Relatively cold conditions with low-altitude clouds are forecast for much of the country at night, the JMD added.

On Saturday, relatively cold conditions could be expected in the hilly areas, while pleasant conditions are expected in Amman and the Badia and moderate in the Jordan Valley and the Gulf of Aqaba. &

Northern and northeastern parts of the Kingdom could see some early morning and afternoon showers on Saturday, the JMD further explained.

Similar conditions are forecast on Sunday, bringing relatively cold conditions in the mountainous areas, while it will be fair in Amman and the Badia, and moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the coastal city Aqaba.

Temperatures expected in Amman over the next three days will range between a high of 22 degrees Celsius and a low of 12 degrees, while mercury levels will range between 21 degrees Celsius and 9 at night in the northern region. In Aqaba, temperatures will register a high of 28 degrees Celsius sliding to 17 degrees at night.
