How Women Work (HWW) has teamed up with Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition to inspire and educate more women with their 9th annual programme, which will open to all ladies for free during the 12th edition of Heya exhibition.
The 9th annual program of HWW, encourages all women in Qatar to make positive differences to their working lives and to those around them. The complimentary workshops, part of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, will take place today and tomorrow at 4pm at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). HWW encourages ladies to be there at 3.30pm.
Talking to The Peninsula, Evridiki Iliaki, Head of HWW said: 'We are proud to be a part of Heya's 12th edition this year. The 'Happy Leader programme is open to all women attending the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition. It is vital nowadays to inspire greater professional development but also fulfilling careers and a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
'The complimentary workshop aims to remind all women that they can have it all, they can be professionals, wives, mothers and have the elegant and fashionable lifestyle they want. At the end of each workshop, HWW will announce a very special prize for all the attendees, she added.
The two short workshops, of 20 minutes each, will be on self-development. Also there will be Arabic translation. The first workshop, 'The leader in me, will be held today, highlighting how all women hide a leader inside, challenges the concept of leadership as it could be any woman, even the ones who manage to run successfully a loving household. But its major role will be for ladies to get inspiration on the spot, of what is their true purpose, how that defines their career purpose and how that will sooner or later bring them to leadership.
The second workshop on Sunday November 5 is 'Attracting Wealth and Success which HWW is well-known for. Its successful workshops on leadership, confidence and attracting wealth and abundance. This workshop will focus on the understanding that the change of mindset plays the most important role in attracting all good things in life.
HWW has supported more than 7,300 women in Qatar to grow and succeed since its inception in 2009. HWW are founding members of Qatar's Professional Women's Network (QPWN), Global Entrepreneurship Week Qatar and the Circle of Pearl mentoring programme, maintaining close ties with many organizations that are working towards the advancement of women in Qatar.
HWW have hosted joint projects with the Social Development Centre, Qatar Cancer Society, International Chamber of Commerce, Exxon Mobil Women's Association, EMRA'A and more.
The two workshops are part of the educational awareness at the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition with the participation of Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQatar) and other reputable organizations. About 25% of our participants are entrepreneurs and executives, and 50 - 60% are employees in many of Qatar's major corporations. The remaining 15 - 25% are made up out of graduate students and job seekers.
