Qatar- QSE index closes at 8,146.23 points

Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) benchmark index gained 17.98 points, or 0.22 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 8,146.23 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 9.79 percent to reach QR687.94m compared to QR762.57m.
Trading volume decreased by 17.24 percent to reach 30.76 million shares, as against 37.16 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 11.65 percent, to reach 10,955 transactions as compared to 9,812 transactions.
Market cap rose by 0.29 percent to reach QR443.46bn as compared to QR442.19bn at the end of previous week.
From the 45 listed companies 18 ended last week higher, while 24 fell and three remained unchanged.
QNB led trading value during this week accounted for 18.64 percent of the total trading value. Qatar Navigation accounted for 8.96 percent and Qatar Fuel accounted for 6.35 percent, reports QNA.
However, when compared on daily basis, the QSE index dropped 24.97 points, or 0.31 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 8,146.23 points.
The volume of shares traded yesterday decreased to 3.90 million from 6.08 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR112.82m from QR132.06m on Wednesday.
