Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation Celebrates Flag Day at its Headquarters and Barakah Site


(MENAFNEditorial) Abu Dhabi, UAE 2 November 2017: The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) celebrated Flag Day at its headquarters in Masdar City, and at the site of the Barakah Peaceful Nuclear Energy Plant in the Al Dhafra region of Abu Dhabi. The activity comes in support of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's call to all federal and local institutions to mark the occasion, which coincides with the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's accession to the presidency of the UAE.

The management, engineers and employees of ENEC and its affiliated companies Nawah Energy Company (Nawah) and Barakah One Company, joined hands to raise the flag of the UAE and saluted it with pride, expressing loyalty to the UAE and its wise leadership.

H.E. Mohamed Al Hammadi, ENEC CEO said, 'Flag Day is a dear occasion to our hearts, as it reflects the deep national pride of the people of the UAE. It also expresses our heritage, bright history and great achievements of this nation in various fields. Today, we witness the remarkable progress made at Barakah, the site of the largest peaceful nuclear energy project in the world including four identical nuclear energy units being simultaneously built. This is the fruitful result of the efforts and dedication of the founding fathers, our leaders and the people of the UAE.
