Brecon Beacons deaths: charges pressed against two liable men

(MENAFN) While exercising an SAS selection march in the Brecon Beacons, three soldiers have died and a couple of men were charged with negligence. The victims were identified as L/Cpl Edward Maher, L/Cpl Craig Roberts and Cpl James Dunsby who were in 2013 participating in a 16-mile recruitment training.

The charges have been filed, as confirmed by the Service Prosecution Authority, thus, the hearing of the case will take place in a military court while the upper limit of the verdict is to be detention for two years.

According to a Ministry of Defence spokesman, "any decision to prosecute any personnel, veteran or serving, is made by the Service Prosecution Authority (SPA), an independent body."
