Saudi Arabia Stresses Need to End Suffering of Palestinian People

United Nations, Safar 12, 1439, Nov 1, 2017, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has stressed the need to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people and support their right to self-determination, rejecting the Israeli occupation in all its forms and the aggression and terrorism being practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people and its continued unjust blockade.
It also affirmed its support for all international efforts to seek the maintenance of international peace and security, noting that it attaches special attention to the Palestinian cause as the top issue of Arabs and Muslims and a major element of its foreign policy.
The Kingdom reiterated its call for a comprehensive and just solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict, ensuring security and stability for all countries in the region in addition to the achievement of just solution to the Palestinian refugees problem according to the UN General Assembly Resolution No. 194 on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with the Eastern Al-Quds as its capital.
This came in the Kingdom's speech at the United Nations on the right of peoples to self-determination as part of the work of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly and was delivered by the Second Secretary of the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom to the United Nations, Taghreed Bint Fahd Al-Dulaim.
