UAE participating in conference on 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Cairo

CAIRO, 1st November, 2017 (WAM)-- The UAE is participating in a conference on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which started in the premises of the Arab League here today in the presence of the member countries and representatives of regional organsiations concerned with cultural affairs.

The UAE delegation to the two-day event, which themed " Culture and Follow-Up of Implementation of the 2030 Plan for Sustainable Development .. Challenges and Solutions," included Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Hammadi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Control and Support Services, and Waleed Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Heritage and Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development.

Delivering the conference's inaugural speech, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit said the Arab region is going through significant challenges following the fierce terror attacks that targeted the region's cultural legacy recently.
