Saudi- Syrian Narcotics Smuggler Executed in Jouf Region

Jouf, Safar 12, 1439, November 01, 2017, SPA -- The Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued today that Hamdi Akram Al-Samhan, a Syrian national, was executed in Al-Qurayat Governorate in Jouf Region today for smuggling a large quantity of amphetamine pills into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry said that the General Court convicted the smuggler; the sentence was endorsed by Appeal and Supreme Courts, and a royal order was issued to execute the sentence.
The Ministry of Interior affirms that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen on combating narcotics due to their great harm to individuals and the society, warning anyone who tries to commit such actions to be punished according to Sharia.
