Several Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers in Nablus


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Nov.1 (Petra) -- A number of Palestinian citizens were injured early Wednesday, by Israeli soldier's rubber- coated bullets, during clashes erupted in Nablus after settlers stormed the "Joseph Tomb" east of the city.

The Palestinian official in charge of the settlement file in the northern part of the West Bank, Ghassan Dauglas, said in a statement that Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the area of "joseph Tomb" to protect hundreds of extremist settlers who visited the shrine.

Clashes flared up between the Palestinians and the Israeli troops, who fired rubber-coated bullets and tear- gas canisters against the citizens, leaving a number of them injured, the statement added.
