A new airport to be built in Oman's Musandam

(MENAFN) A new airport in the Musandam region in Oman is set to be developed by Oman's government as part of its efforts to boost the transport infrastructure in the sultanate, a report said.

In addition to Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Duqm and Khasab, this will mark the sixth airport in the country, according to Times of Oman.

A consultant is soon to be hired by the government to examine the estimated cost as well as conducting a study on the environmental impact for the new project, the Times stated.
