Qatar- Netherlands to handle Sweden's Schengen visa applications

Starting from today, Sweden will be represented by the Kingdom of the Netherlands regarding Schengen visa applications from Qatar.
All Schengen visa applications are handled by VFS Global on behalf of the Netherlands Embassy in Qatar.
Starting from yesterday, VFS Global in Qatar (http://www.vfsglobal.com/Netherlands/Qatar/ ) will be able to receive appointment reservations for visa applications to Sweden, said a statement issued by Embassy of Sweden in Qatar.
The earliest appointment date at VFS will be from today.
Coinciding with this new partnership in providing Schengen visas for Sweden, the previous partnership with Embassy of Italy in Doha will formally end.
Therefore, the last date to submit a visa application for Sweden through the Italian Embassy's external service provider ,Cox & Kings Global Services, was yesterday.
