Kurdish parties opposed to Barzani offices attacked overnight

(MENAFN)Offices of Iraqi Kurdish political parties opposed to regional leader Masoud Barzani were attacked in several cities overnight; right after the announcement of Barzani resignation.

Several of their offices in the Duhok region, north of the Kurdish capital Erbil, were robbed or burnt overnight, stated The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the Movement for Change and Gorran. No casualties were reported, however.

Local police forces, known as Asayish were ordered to stop the attack, said the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq.
