(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Oct 31 (KUNA) -- Iraqi troops Tuesday gained control of a large gas field near Al-Qaim city in Al-Anbar governorate, said a statement by an army commander.
In a statement, commander of operations to liberate western Mosul Lieutenant-General Abdulamir Yarllah said that troops gained control of the gas field and nearby facilities from the so-called Islamic State (IS).
He affirmed that Iraqi troops will continue to push forward to eliminate IS presence in Western Mosul. (end) ahh.gta
