Venezuela: December vote to be boycotted

(MENAFN) It was informed that the three leading Venezuelan opposition parties: Justice First, Popular Will and Democratic Action will not participate in December's municipal elections, and that the electoral system is prejudiced.

Nicolas Maduro's government had manipulated the elections both times in 2013 and earlier this month, as said by Julio Borges, leader of the Justice First party and president of the National Assembly. However, Venezuelan system is believed by President Maduro to be completely reliable.

The deadline expiration of the 10th of December vote relating signing up mayoral candidates took place on Monday. Mr. Borges insists that instead of struggling for another vote, the opposition alliance "should try to secure reforms to the electoral board."
