(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Team Falken's Yoshihide Muroya has won the final race of this year's Red Bull Air Race World Championship, which was held recently in Indianapolis, US.
With his victory in Indianapolis, which is his fourth win of the season, Muroya secured the title of Series Champion, making him the first Asian pilot to accomplish this momentous feat.
Muroya holds the distinction of being the only race pilot from Asia competing in the Master Class in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2017.
Having propelled himself to the second place overall with his third win of the series in Lausitz, Germany last month, Muroya kept up the momentum through the final race of the season, once again demonstrating his amazing high-speed, high-precision flying skills to win his fourth race of the tournament.
Competing from the second race of the season (San Diego, US) in a racing plane decked out in brand new Falken Motorsports colours, Muroya won that race and the race that followed (Chiba, Japan), thereby giving him his first ever consecutive wins.
In this year's Red Bull Air Race World Championship, Muroya achieved his personal best four wins in a single season, which paved the way to ultimate glory as the first ever Series Champion from Asia.
