Jordan- Cartoonist Emad Hajjaj Investigated for Controversial Cartoon

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Amman called in Jordanian cartoonist Emad Hajjaj today, Monday, for an interview over what seems to be a 'contempt of religion complaint filed by a citizen. Insider sources have uncovered to AlGhad that the cartoon in question featured criticism of the Patriarch of the Orthodox Church in Jerusalem, for selling off Church property to Israel.
Notably, the complaint was based on the Electronic Crimes Law, which was recently amended.
