UAE- 4 Emirati women injured after car tyre burst


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Four Emirati were injured after the SUV car they were travelling in got summersaulted on one of the roads in Ras Al Khaimah.

Informed sources with RAK police said that the accident was caused by the sudden tyre burst. "The four Emirati women were travelling on the Al Tawain road when the mishap took place."

Police investigations are still under way to identify the reasons behind the tyre burst, following which the four-wheel-drive car turned over several times, they added.

The central operations room of the RAK Police, having been alerted of the mishap, dispatched traffic police, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the site in a record time.

"The four victims, including two girls, sustained minor to moderate injuries, and were all shifted to the hospital for treatment while the accident file was referred to the concerned prosecution department for legal procedures."

The police sources said that all drivers need to be focused on the road, and stick to speed limit. "Checking and changing the tyres on time is life-saving and must be done as instructed."
