Oman- OPAL Oil and Gas Conference begins today

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Oman Society for Petroleum Services' (OPAL) first OPAL Oil and Gas Conference, which kick starts today, will highlight the importance of security in the oil and gas industry during the second session of the inaugural day. The two days conference is being organised at the Grand Millennium Muscat.

Planned around the theme of 'Driving excellence in upstream hydrocarbon activities in the sultanate', OPAL Oil and Gas Conference will provide a platform to gain insights from leading industry experts and analysts about the latest trends, challenges and future opportunities in the oil and gas sector, a press release said.

The conference will allow participants to network and develop trade and business prospects with local and international oil and gas companies, discover new solutions and technologies to boost business and understand the growing potential of Oman's oil and gas industry.

The presentations will be delivered by a range of industry experts who will focus on and discuss topics such as challenges in cyber security, risk mitigation, response to a breach in cybersecurity from a legal perspective, and digitalisation and cybersecurity in an energy and oil and gas context.
