(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Badr al Samaa Group of Hospitals has announced the joining of Dr Deepak K T, specialist in periodontal and implant surgery, and Dr Arvind Kumar Misra, MD (Respiratory Medicine) at their Barka branch.
Dr Deepak is one of the first specialty licensees in periodontology and implantology in the private healthcare sector in the sultanate. He completed his dental graduation and post graduation from PMS College of Dental Science and Research Trivandrum, Kerala. He also holds diploma in latest advances in dentistry and implantology and laser dentistry from the prestigious international university from Geneva, Italy.
His area of interest focuses mainly on surgical procedures like periodontal flap surgeries, periodontal cosmetic surgeries, laser management of precancerous lesions, cyst management and dental implantology.
He has performed many advanced procedures like full mouth rehabilitation with implants; block grafting and lip repositioning and tongue tie removal. His special areas of expertise and interest are in lasers and implants and he has conducted various studies on management of various periodontal diseases and precancerous lesions.
Dr Misra completed his MBBS and internship from Government T D Medical College, Alappuzha Kerala, India and his post graduation in respiratory medicine from prestigious Institute of Medical Science, BHU (Varanasi), India. He has worked as a chest physician in Cooperative Hospital, Alappuzha, Kerala, India before he served as senior resident, Pulmonologist in Government T D Medical College Hospital.
He has special interest in the field of interventional pulmonology and sleep-related breathing disorders. He has vast experience in managing cases of obstructive airway disease like asthma, COPD, respiratory failure and pulmonary tuberculosis etc.
He has performed nasopharyngoscopy, flexible fibreoptic bronchoscopy, medical thoracoscopy, endobronchial biopsy, TBNA, TBLB, FNAC lung, pleural biopsy, ultrasound guided thoracocentesis, intercostal tubal drainage, pleuredesis and polysomnography in the government tertiary care institution in India. He is also highly experienced in the interpretation of pulmonary function test, allergic test and arterial blood gas analysis.
Dr Deepak will be available from Saturday to Thursday, 10am to 2pm and 6pm to 10pm. Dr Misra will be available from Saturday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm and 5pm to 9pm at Badr al Samaa, Barka branch for consultation.
