(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNA

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Law No. (20) of 2017 on Sunday amending some provisions of Law No. (8) of 1990 on the regulation of human food control.
Under this amendment, the violating shop will be closed completely if its condition does not allow the closure of the part, where the violation took place. The violator needs to pay the cost incurred for closing.

A sign has to be placed on the front of the shop reading: "Closed for violation of the law regulating the control of human food".

The closure decision should be published on the website of the issuing agency and in two local newspapers that have widespread readership, at the expense of the violator.

The Law stipulates that it shall be implemented and published in the Official Gazette.
