Qatar's Hamad Nasser Al Qadi produced a spectacularly slick routine with S I E C Lonnie to win the feature event on day two of the second round of the QR1m Hathab Series.
S I E C Lonnie, a 12-year-old gelding, clocked a time of 44.67 seconds in the two-phased 130-140cm class to clinch the top prize in Big Tour competition at Al Shaqab Arena.
The second-best time was also produced by Al Qadi who was astride St Lucia (45.21 seconds). Al Qadi's brother Saeed, astride Daydreamer EC, grabbed the third spot in a time of 45.41 seconds.
The first prize was worth QR8,400, picked up by Al Qadi who bagged an additional amount of QR6,900 as the Qatari rider secured the two top positions in the main event of the second round.
Mohammed Said Haidan (Casanova, 48.99 seconds) and Faleh Al Ajami (Ulano, 49.30 seconds) completed the top five in the competition.
'I am thrilled with my results today. I got first and second positions yesterday also, Al Qadi said following his victory yesterday.
'I also got second and third this week which puts me on the top of the table as I achieved the highest points till now. I have to say all riders today were strong competitors but I was prepared. I am really honoured to compete with such riders, the young Qatari rider said.
'All the riders were really strong - such as Faleh Al Ajmi who has great experience in such championships. I admire him and this competition was a great opportunity to exchange experience with the well-established national riders.
'I am looking forward for the next round of competitions in the Hathab Series, Al Qadi said after receiving his trophy from Abdul Salam Abu-Issa, the Deputy COO of Al Salam International Investment.
Omar Al Mannai, Commercial Manager of Al Shaqab and Ali Al Rumaihi, the Event Director, were also present at the prize distribution ceremony.
Earlier in the Medium Tour (120/130cm) yesterday, Saeed Al Qadi (Jessico, 64.36 seconds) emerged as the best rider followed by Mohammed Sultan Al Suwaidi (Numero Uno T, 67.27 seconds) and Bandar Mansoor Al Hoban (Tagfart, 68.18 seconds).

In the dressage level 1 competition yesterday, young rider Amana Al Saffar regaled fans with a neat performance to top the event. Riders Iris Nijboer and Jesscia Waldon finished second and third respectively.
Al Saffar was astride Drum Mousse who managed a score of 69.79.
Nijboer guided Wait And See ZE (68.95) for the second-best finish. Waldon and Jacquard combined well to finish in third place (68.75).
Al Saffar said: 'I'm very happy with my results today as you know I managed a good routine in the dressage level 1 competition. I would like to thank the organising committee for giving me this great opportunity as this is the first national dressage event for young riders in Qatar.
Saoud Ahmed Al Boinin (Velvet, 63.75) and Munira Mohammed Al Tamemi (Silvan, 62.70) completed the top five.
In the dressage level 2 competition, Saad Al Saad yesterday grabbed the first spot followed by Mennatallah Mourad and Aisha Al Ahmadi.
'We are thrilled to see the outcome of the second round during which we staged dressage competitions, Event Director Al Rumaihi said yesterday.
'The kids are getting the kind of competition they never faced before, he added. 'We expect the number of riders to increase in the coming rounds, he said.
The third leg of the Hathab Series will be held from November 9 to 11, organisers confirmed yesterday. A total of QR140,000 will be up for grabs in eight competitions in round three.
The fourth round of the Hathab Series will be staged from November 14 to 16. A total of QR95,000 will be shared among winners in seven competitions.
