Heathrow Airport: confidential security files were compromised
(MENAFN) An inner investigation has been initiated by Heathrow Airport due to the discovery of a USB stick enclosing security Intel on the street. It was reported by The Sunday Mirror that 76 folder were contained on the USB stick involving videos, maps and documents which include information on strategies taken for the protection on the Queen.
The report said that a man came across the USB stick in west London then delivered it into the paper. Based on Heathrow Airport, all its security details were reviewed and that it was "confident" that the airport is already secured.
According to the report it was confirmed that "we have also launched an internal investigation to understand how this happened and are taking steps to prevent a similar occurrence in future". It was also said that 174 documents were compromised, few were confidential or even restricted, fortunately though, none could be read.
