Samsung VS Xiaomi in Indian smartphone market


(MENAFN) Samsung Electronics Co. has stayed no.1 in the Indian market of smartphones in Q3, but is still having strong competition from its Chinese rival Xiaomi Inc.


Strategy Analytics has shown that Samsung has 26% of the market in Q3, while Xiaomi has 25%.

Other Chinese companies take part, such as Technology Co, taking 10%, Oppo Electronics Corp. 9% and Lenovo Group with 7.

As in Q2, Samsung had 21.2%, way more than the 15.6% of Xiaomi.


According to researchers, the top three most demanded smartphones in India in Q3 were Xiaomi products, with Samsung's Galaxy J2 coming in fourth.
