Kuwait- Turkish authorities arrest 49 suspects of belonging to IS
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- The Turkish authorities arrested 49 suspects linked to the so-called Islamic State (IS) in the capital Ankara, Anadolu Agency cited security sources on Saturday.
Ankara chief public prosecutor's office had issued arrest warrants for 55 foreign nationals, as part of an investigation against the terrorist group, it added, it added.
The police arrested today 49 of the 55 suspects during operation in Ankara, as some of the suspects were planning an attack on the country's Republic Day celebration on October 29, it said.
