Riyadh, Safar 7, 1439, Oct 27, 2017, SPA -- The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) is displaying unique art glass and ceramic vessels and vases dating back to the first millennium BC, which were found in the village of Al-Faw, about 700 km southwest of Riyadh.
These luxury bottle, utensils and tableware including pots and cups were imported from the major manufacturing centers that existed in Eastern countries or Egypt in the 1st and 2nd centuries BC, especially in Alexandria, whose production was spread throughout the eastern world, even in Bagram in Afghanistan.
These artifacts highlight the development and richness of the civilizations that lived in the Arabian Peninsula.
The village of Al-Faw is one of the largest and most famous archaeological sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
