
Policeman killed, eight others injured in terrorist act in Bahrain
MANAMA, 27th October 2017 (WAM) - One policeman died and eight others sustained serious and medium injuries when a police bus in Jidhafs, Bahrain, was targeted in a terror act crime on Friday, Bahrain News Agency said.
The bus was attacked while traveling on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman highway towards Manama near Jidhafs, the Ministry of Interior said.
The wounded police personnel were referred to hospital for treatment.
The ministry revealed that a group of terrorists targeted the bus with a remotely detained homemade bomb.
After the case was reported, concerned authorities moved to the crime scene and an investigation was launched in the terror crime to arrest those behind it, in order to bring them to justice. Legal proceedings have commenced and the Public Prosecution was notified.
