Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) benchmark index made a marginal gain of 3.52 points, or 0.04 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 8,128.25 points yesterday.
The volume of shares traded decreased to 3.75 million from 8.36 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR150.56m from QR186.02m on Wednesday.
Out of the 45 companies listed on QSE, shares of 39 saw trading yesterday. Of these 19 gained and 19 companies closed lower, and one remained unchanged, yesterday.
Indices of three sectors ended in green and remained four sectors ended in red yesterday. QSE Total Return Index gained 0.04 to 13,630.60 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 0.17 percent to 3,183.02 points and QSE All Share Index decreased 0.15 percent to 2,273.81 points, reports QNA.
When compared on weekly basis, the QSE index lost 43.93 points, 0.54 percent, last week compared to previous week.
Trading value during last week increased by 2.21 percent to reach QR762.57m compared to QR746.10m.
