Youth participants attended a number of leadership workshops and brainstorming sessions on the third day of ROTA Leadership Training Programme 'ROTA Youth Challenge, at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
Youth participants explored examples of leadership successes and failures during the ‘Leadership Theory' workshop before working in their assigned groups to brainstorm ideas for their group project, which requires them to set up their own ROTA Youth Service Club.
Abulla Ali Al Mesned commented on his participation in the programme by saying:
'My participation in the training programme was both beneficial and enjoyable. I have realized after taking part in this function and its discussion sessions how leadership is the essence of the administrative process and its beating heart. The success of any project stems from its leader and the key role they play in covering all aspects of the administrative process.
Haya Faisal Al Thani, another participant in the event also commented by saying: 'Events such as these, that focus on leadership skills are of great importance in refining students' personality and helping them develop in a way to enable them to lead any projects they are assigned to in the future. The programme combines knowledge framework and practical application through the work in groups and I invite all those interested to participate and register in the programme's future sessions.
ROTA, a programme of Education of Above All, developed the training initiative to enhance the leadership, community service, communication, and project management skills of youth in Qatar, so they are equipped with the know-how to engage in local and international humanitarian action.
