Head of security in Gaza survives failed assassination attempt
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- Head of the security forces in the Gaza Strip Brigadier Tawfeeq Abu Naeem survived a failed assassination attempt, said a source at the Interior Ministry Friday.
Ministry spokesman Iyad Al-Bazem told the press that Brigadier Abu Nassem's vehicle was targeted with an explosive while he was at Al-Nusairat camp.
Abu Naseem survived the attempt and he is at the hospital receiving treatment, said Al-Bazem.
The incident has attracted condemnation from various Palestinian factions including Hamas, Fatah, and others. (end) wab.gta
