(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) This week, Emirates Airline celebrated its 32nd birthday, and what a 32 years it has been. From its three leased aircraft fleet in 1985 to the youngest and most advanced fleet of 2017, Emirates is the blue-eyed boy of the aviation sector.
In the year after its inaugural flight from Dubai to Karachi, the airline had 200 employees, flying 262,000 passengers to seven destinations: Karachi, New Delhi, Bombay, Amman, Colombo, Cairo and Dhaka.
But today, with more than three decades of operation under its belt, Emirates' humble beginnings has since seen it journey from a story of hope to one of success.
