Kuwait- 'No parking on pavements'

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26: Officers from the General Traffic Department will start towing away vehicles parked on pavements in all parts of the country starting from next Sunday. A security source said any vehicle that obstructs traffic flow and causes congestion in the university campuses, highways and commercial areas will be towed away immediately, noting the number plate removal law is already in force. In other parts of the world, vehicles parked on pavements are towed away for obstructing traffic fl ow, he explained, affirming the department has a fl eet of towing cars to conduct the operation effectively.
