Amman, Safar 06, 1439,October 26, 2017,SPA --Head of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Nasser Al-Shuraideh welcomed the new project announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Investment Fund.
Al-Shuraideh said in a press statement today that the project was the result of consultations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan during the last period, stressing that the Jordanian Aqaba Zone will be part of a large economic and integrated project.
He stressed that the project will contribute to stimulating economic activity in Aqaba in particular and Jordan in general, considering Saudi investments as a fruit of distinguished relations and fraternity between the two countries.
Al-Shuraideh explained that during the coming period there will be meetings and consultations between Jordanian and Saudi sides to develop perspectives, programs and timetables to translate them into reality.
