Jordan to switch to wintertime midnight Friday

Amman, Oct.26 (Petra) -- Jordan will switch to wintertime at 1:00 am Friday, October 27, according to a Cabinet decision.

Clocks will be set back by one hour as of midnight Friday, bringing the Kingdom two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.

Under a Cabinet decision taken in December 2013, Jordan switches to wintertime on the last Friday of October every year, while clocks are set forward one hour on the last Thursday of March every year to mark the start of summertime (GMT+3).
