Maan terror case is being held


(MENAFN)The State Security Court (SSC) took seven defendants to custody who happened to be accused of attacking security forces and gendarmes when the police were trying to arrest a wanted man in Maan in June 2016 that ended with the death of the man's two brothers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The seven defendants are accused of carrying out terrorist acts using weapons and bombs that killed two persons and caused destruction to public transportation.
The case is still opened, and the court is postponing the session to Monday in order to allow adequate time for the revision of the case.

The dead persons and their wanted brother are accused by the prosecution of being supporters of Daesh, living in Maan and they are wanted by security forces.

The court statement added that the other six defendants and the first defendant and his two deceased brothers are somewhat involved and related to criminal acts.
