Supermarkets of Kenya aiming for Chinese customers


(MENAFN) According to a lobby group, Kenya's supermarkets are trying to attract Chinese customers to increase their earnings, by stocking products that interest them.

CEO of Retail Trade Association of Kenya said: "The retail sector is seeking to expand its revenues by tapping into the growing Chinese population in Kenya."

She cited that Chinese customers will help retailers expand their profits, as they have a high purchasing ability.

She added: "People are being draw to shop in supermarkets as they offer consumers an opportunity to conveniently buy all household goods in one place."
