Qatar- ROTA Youth Challenge leadership programme begins

The first phase of ROTA Leadership Training Programme 'ROTA Youth Challenge, an initiative to equip youth in Qatar with the skills to make a meaningful impact in their communities, kicked off yesterday at Hamad Bin Khalifa University student centre.
During day one of the five months training programme, more than 50 youth participants attended a number of workshops on project management and leadership including the Concept, Foundation, and Benefits of Project Management; Project Management Life Cycle and Case Study; an Introduction to Leadership, which explored the definition and qualities of an effective leader.
Abdulla Al Bakri, Community Development Manager, ROTA, said: 'It is an honour to welcome youth to another edition of Reach Out To Asia (Rota) Youth Service Clubs Leadership Training programme. The training programme is designed to equip Qatar's youth with the crucial skills needed to become responsible, capable and civic-minded citizens who pro-actively seek out ways to make their communities and the world a better place.
Throughout the training programme, participants will work in groups to complete a series of assigned projects that will enable them to leverage their goal setting capacity. The first phase of the ROTA Leadership Training Programme 'ROAT Youth Challenge will run until the 28 October.
