Qatar- Ooredoo Group officially launches Gaza operations

As part of continuous efforts to improve and enhance its services in the markets where it operates, Ooredoo Group yesterday announced that its operating company in Palestine, Wataniya Mobile, has officially launched its operations in Gaza.
Wataniya Mobile will now be able to provide the residents of Gaza with an alternative option for advanced communications services directly through its shops and authorised dealers in the Strip.
The launch event, which took place in Gaza, was attended by senior Ooredoo executives, including Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, Group Chief Executive Officer - Waleed Al Sayed, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar - Khaled Al Mahmoud, Group Chief Officer of Small and Medium Companies - and Mustafa Al Qatami, Senior Director of Branding and Corporate Communications, Ooredoo Qatar.

Since 2006, when we announced our intention to grow our business internally, we have worked tirelessly to remove all obstacles that prevented Wataniya Mobile from entering Gaza officially, and we have succeeded, said Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Chairman, Ooredoo. 'Wataniya Mobile will continue to implement its vision to enrich our customers' digital life and allow all members of the Palestinian community to enjoy the internet and high-quality voice services, he said.
Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, Group Chief Executive Officer, Ooredoo, said: 'We are very happy to launch our services in Gaza.
