Saudi- IDB Enhances Health Sector in the Republic of Djibouti

Jeddah, Safar 5, 1439, Oct 25, 2017, SPA -- Sayed Aqa and Dr. Mansour Mukhtar, Vice Presidents of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), discussed the IDB role in supporting the health sector in Djibouti with Minister of Health of the Republic of Djibouti, Dr. Djama Elmi.
During the meeting, Dr. Djama stressed that IDB is a key partner in his country's plan promoting the health sector and providing medical supplies, as well as establishing the health institutions, pointing out that the Government of Djibouti pays great attention to the project of maternal and child health represented by the hospital, where the IDB funded the hospital by $4 million.
For their part, the IDB Vice Presidents expressed IDB's interest in this project as one of the priorities in the health sector in Djibouti, stressing that IDB will study all ways to support Djibouti's efforts to establish the project as soon as possible.
