Death by a rare disease falls upon a worker of Hurricane Harvey repairs


(MENAFN) Last week, it was confirmed that a 31yo male from Texas has died due to an uncommon flesh-eating bacterial infection, it took place almost two months post Hurricane Harvey that its flood forced men to start patching up their ruined homes.

According to The Galveston County Health Districts on Monday, the deceased man visited the hospital after discovering a serious infection visible on his upper left arm on October 10. The man was diagnosed with an unusual case of bacterial infection that kills soft tissues which is known as necrotizing fasciitis, six days later he was dead.

The man was recognized as Josue Zurita, as informed by the Houston news channel, his death notice included that Zurita was a carpenter who departed from Mexico in order to provide for his family. It is said that he was infected during the rebuild of Harris and Galveston counties.

Brenda Avalos, his cousin's wife said that "he's a very caring person, he has a lot of friends here in Galveston that love him. Everybody is very sad. He was very young and always smiling."
