(MENAFN) The developing solid-state battery technology of Toyota Motor Corp could be a "game changer" for electric cars, but it won't leave hydrogen-powered fuel-cell vehicles.
Executive Vice President said: "We believe our solid-state battery technology can be a game changer with the potential to dramatically improve driving range."
The company is planning to introduce a new electric vehicle by 2020 powered by solid-state batteries, which also said to shorten the charging times.
Although China has largely encouraged electric cars, Japan has plans to establish a hydrogen-fueled society.
