Ethiopia aspires to be the manufacturing hub of Africa
(MENAFN) Ethiopia will launch 4 industrial parks in its current 2017/2018 fiscal year, in a hope to become the African manufacturing hub.
CEO of the Ethiopian Industrial parks Development Corporation said: "The aim of industrial parks is to create conducive environment for Ethiopian industrial development strategy in GTP-II as well."
The parks include physical infrastructures like roads, electricity and water supplies, in addition to facilities dedicated to provide one-stop services to guarantee the supplement of several government services to companies within the parks' premises.
The government of Ethiopia expects the industrial zones of 315m USD in Adama and Dire Dawa to contribute to the support of overseas trade for the country due to their relative proximity to the Port of Djibouti.
